SITM chair receives funding from central quality improvement funds for personal productivity course
The Chair of Information Systems and Strategic IT Management is pleased that an application for the allocation of central Quality Improvement Funds (QVM) of the University of Duisburg-Essen has been approved. The funding, totaling 42,000€ will support the design and development of a new course in the E1 area on the topic of Personal Productivity.
The aim of the project is to develop, implement and evaluate an innovative course for the development of competencies that will serve efficient and effective knowledge work using modern approaches to self-management as well as digital tools while maintaining health and increasing individual well-being.
The planned course is located in the E1 area of methodological competence. The target group are bachelor and master students from all departments and faculties. The content of the course, which is to be taught under the umbrella term "Personal Productivity", comes from a wide range of disciplines. For example, current findings and study results from psychology, neurology and business informatics are incorporated into the creation and conception of the course content. The planned start of the course is scheduled for the summer semester of 2024.
