Launch of website for Smart City Duisburg initiative
Together with the city of Duisburg, the Chair of Information Systems and Strategic IT Management has developed a website for the Smart City Duisburg initiative. The ongoing cooperation with Duisburg aims to transform the city into a Smart City and thus increase the quality of life of Duisburg's citizens and the economic attractiveness and sustainability of the city. On the occasion of the symposium „Digitaler Masterplan Duisburg” the website was launched on Monday, July 11, 2018. The Smart City Duisburg website can be accessed via the following link: https://www.duisburgsmartcity.de/ The website presents the six fields of actions that make up the Smart City initiative and gives an overview about the status of ongoing projects. It also offers the opportunity for citizen’s feedback and suggestions and publishes news articles related to the Smart City initiative. Additionally, the Smart City Duisburg Innovation Center, a think tank for research, development and evaluation of prototypes for innovative Smart City solutions, is introduced on the website.
