Prof. Dr. Frederik Ahlemann received the Best Teacher Award from the “Fachschaft Wirtschaftsinformatik” of the Faculty of Computer Science at last week’s graduation celebration. The award recognizes his outstanding teaching, dedication, and continuous support for students throughout their academic journey.

Such recognition is not only an honor, it’s also a reminder and motivation: Teaching is constantly evolving. Especially in times shaped by digital transformation, changing expectations, and new learning formats, we must stay curious, experiment with new methods, and remain open to feedback.
The goal remains clear: to create meaningful, relevant, and inspiring learning experiences that prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

The graduation event took place on last Thursday, 10.07.25, at the Essen campus, bringing together more than 400 guests at Hörsaalzentrum R14. With summer temperatures and a laid-back atmosphere, students, families, and faculty enjoyed a joyful close to an important milestone.
