Information Systems, Digital Innovation and Performance Management
Our mission is to advance information systems through rigorous, practice-oriented research and education. We empower students and professionals with scientifically grounded knowledge of lasting relevance, support the development of individual potential, and address real-world challenges. By fostering effective knowledge transfer, we bridge academia and practice to create sustainable impact.
- Personal Productivity for Knowledge Workers
- Data Ecosystems
- Digital Assistants & Coaches
- Smart Cities and Information Systems for Utility
- Artificial Intelligence from a Strategic and Managerial View
- Digital Strategy & Digital Transformation Management
- IT Demand Management
- Project Management & Project Portfolio Management
- Benefits Management and Value of IT
- IT/Digital Innovation Management
In our research, we approach these domains from two directions: Following the design science paradigm, we develop and evaluate artifacts (e.g., process models, methods, tools) for strategic IT/IS management. In parallel, we conduct behavioral research to gain an understanding of the conditions under which these (and other) artifacts are accepted, adopted, and proven successful. We ensure that our research results have a practical and sustainable benefit by cooperating with leading enterprises and institutions.
