Good evaluation results for the course "IT Project Management" in the summer semester 2024
We are pleased to announce the good evaluation of the "IT Project Management" course from the summer semester 2024.
The participating students were Bachelor degree students studying Information Systems, Applied Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, and for the State-certified Teacher Training Course with the professional profile Information Systems.
Considering changing requirements and environmental conditions in the implementation of IT projects, the course is aimed at students to provide practical action skills with a focus on technical project management skills.
The course includes three main parts: independent learning (through e-learning modules), review sessions to recap the learning content and activity sessions to apply the learned knowledge to exemplary tasks.
Prof. Dr. Frederik Ahlemann held the review sessions and also led the discussion of the application tasks. Furthermore, three guest lectures took place during the course, in which managers from practice shared their knowledge and experience related to the subject.
The course evaluation showed that the students were satisfied with the course and rated it with 2.5 (on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is the best possible rating). The teaching staff were highlighted as particularly positive. The application assignments and the blended learning concept also received much praise.
Many of the participating students also achieved an overall exam grade of 2.3 or better. This was 30% over the first and second exam date.
We look forward to welcoming new students to the next ITPM course in the summer semester of 2025.
