We are happy to announce that Prof. Ahlemann was appointed to the Steering Committee of the Smart City Duisburg initiative. The members will make important decisions on the implementation of the digital masterplan and on prioritizing planned strategic projects. The Smart City initiative is essential for Duisburg, as it aims to increase its citizens’ quality of life and promote Duisburg’s economic effectiveness. In the future, Prof. Ahlemann will work closely with other members of the Steering Committee, including Lord-Mayor Sören Link, who will head the committee. Prof. Ahlemann is looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.
