Research Projects

The Chair of Information Systems, Digital Innovation and Performance Management bridges the gap between academic excellence and corporate success. For over 10 years, we have partnered with market leaders in automotive, consulting, engineering, and finance to not just face the challenges of modern IT management, but to master them. Our goal is high-impact research that delivers measurable, sustainable value.

While we adapt our research to the pulse of the industry, our core remains stable:
Making Digital Transformation successful through a holistic lens (People, Technology, Task). Currently, our focus areas include:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain
  • Data Ecosystems
  • Designing IS for Personal Productivity
  • Digital Assistants and Coaches
  • Digital Strategy & Digital Transformation Management
  • Modern Data Governance Structures
  • Smart Cities and Information Systems for Utility
  • Personal Productivity for Knowledge Workers

In our work, we view the digital world from two critical perspectives. Following the Design Science paradigm, we develop and evaluate innovative artifacts—from process models to digital tools. In parallel, we conduct behavioral research to understand the conditions under which these solutions are accepted and how they truly serve the people using them.

Our mission is to make science tangible. Our collaborations range from targeted short-term studies to long-term research programs. By combining innovative research with strategic advisory skills, we ensure a rapid, value-creating transfer of knowledge directly into your organization. We work on-site to bridge the gap between theory and practice, sustainably shaping the future of work.
